Neither the ter Stegen rumor nor the de Jong rumor is true. Borussia denied both on the offical homepage. Meyer is quoted with the words "nonsens" and "infamy" (if I translated it correctly):

I'm afraid, not true, Godfrey. He was born in Bilin, which todays is in czech republic, he grew up in Thuringia, and worked in Jena, both as player and manager.
