I'm beginning to feel more for a 4-3-3 formation.
Something like:
-----------------------Goalie?-----------------------
Levels-----Defender?-----Dante-----Daems
--------Neüstadter---------Midfielder?---------
-----------------------Bradley-----------------------
Reus---------------------------------------Arango
----------------------Attacker?---------------------
I think a formation like this would bring more stability on the field and still have enough quality in the attacking-department.
*Goalie: This either could be Heimeroth, Ter Stegen or Bailly. If Bailly can once regain his form that he showed us in the season 08-09 he should be 1st choice. But until that's going to happen (and ofcourse with his recent sayings about him not being very happy etc.) Heimeroth will probably take his place. I've heard/read that Ter Stegen is an enormous talent and I would like to see him play aswell, but I don't know if that's a good option at the moment.
*Defender: For the place next to Dante you have a few options. Brouwers, Anderson or even JICB. I think they all have a fair chance for being the second central defender. Brouwers has his reputation of last season, Anderson is a young talent and JICB isn't playing bad either. So it will be one of those 3.
*Midfielder: That's the spot where I would like a new guy (Nenad Kovacevic or Anthony Annan are 2 of my favourites). A very good defending midfielder who brings stability and fighting-spirit into the team. (The only reason I didn't put Marx here, is 'cause to me he seems more of a playertype like Bradley, 8er actually. So I think he'd be better of at Bradley's position, but to me Bradley > Marx).
*Attacker: My favourite for the position is De Camargo. But you also have the options Idrissou, Boba (and even Kachunga, Bäcker, etc.)
That said, I think a formation change to a 4-3-3 would be a good thing. That way you got an enormous amount of stability on the field. And with Reus, Arango and De Camargo you have great attacking players on the field. Bradley can also give a lot of attacking impulses (the way he plays at the USA-team). And you still have good backups: Idrissou, (Boba?), Kachunga, Herrmann, etc. With a formation like this Arango is also more freed from his defensive jobs, 'cause he has an extra player behind him (Daems also benefits from this). It is a bit the same for Reus, but you can tell he has less problems with his defensive work.
I can also imagine a reversed triangle on the midfield
Like:
-----------------------Goalie?-----------------------
Levels-----Defender?-----Dante-----Daems
---------------------Midfielder?---------------------
----------Bradley-----------Midfielder?----------
Reus---------------------------------------Arango
----------------------Attacker?---------------------
In a case like this you have one 6er and two 8er, but then the two 8er's also have to work a lot to the back, but this could also be an option, 'cause it still gives more stability to the team.
Just my 2 cents
