Can somebody please tell me what this means in English,please.Can't find an explanation anywhere.

It means that Borussia generated only a minimal profit last year.

At least it was a profit.We could be like Liverpool and the news coming from their owners this morning.

It means that there was neither a loss nor a profit of money in the last year. At least not a big one. But in order to at least describe the tendency of the development concerning the financial status you call it a "black zero". Last year Borussia generated a profit of approx. 13,000 € which is more or less nothing. Therefore they call it a "black zero".
By the way: The opposite expression is a "red zero".

Thanks Steve.Nice to know that we are in the black.Does anyone know how many years we have been in the black(since 2000) as we were in the Zweite Liga the season before last.I guess the sale of Marcel Jansen helped.Just read the quote from Max Eberl on the homepage about the sale of Marko,but did I not read that he said we don't have to sell him to finance our transfers this summer.If we don't have to sell him let's try and keep him and convince him that he could be in at the beginning of something at Borussia.It looks to me that it's playing on his mind in Sweden with the U21's,because he's not the Marko that we know and love at the Borussia Park.

It might be that there are some millions "sleeping" somewhere on Liechtenstein's or Switzerland's bank accounts.
But as usual: Nobody knows exactly but everybody loves to speculate 'bout it. Sometimes it's even a big wildcatting...

I think the suggestion of having made a profit for seven years in a row now is a quite realistic one.

With the demise of the tv sports station Setanta I've lost my live Bundesliga.Does anyone know if the DFL will lose out finanially now that they are no more and how this will affect clubs like Borusia as they must have been paying for the rights to show the games

If the people have some brains his reception should be quite friendly. Look at it like this: the transfer had to be expected. His contract would have expired next year, he was new on the national team and wants remain there for the world championship. Obviously his chances to get recognition from the Bundestrainer are better in a team like Werder

You're aware of the fact that ESPN UK took over from Setanta, mate?
They'll be showing the Wolfsburg/Bayern matches respectively this weekend.
No Borussia coverage, though. Instead they show bleedin' Spurs v Olympiacos, wow, what a cracker.
So it's back to the livestreams again.
Unless you have a large satellite dish in the backyard, like myself.

Checked the listings last night and as soon as I saw Bundesliga I subscribed.No live Borussia but they've got a highlights show in the week,Monday I think.Anyway being in Wales we get a show called "Sgorio' and for years now we've been able to see Buli highlights every week.Once or twice they've had better coverage of Borussia games than the ZDF or ARD.In a highlights sense, of course.

Saturday,ESPN LIVE Borussia v Hertha BSC.Can't wait.It's already worth the £9 a month.Just hope we can hold on to a lead (if we get one) next week.How can you lose a three goal lead!!!???
