Well that was pretty good.Going forward I thought we were much more threatening than last year (as 5 goals in 2 games proves) Arango and Bobadilla were very good as were Matmour and Brouwers.Only worry was defending set pieces, as their goal showed. When we get Dante,Daems and Bailly back we should be OK. One other thing, saw Hans Meyer in one shot on the tv.Was he falling asleep?

And in fairness, after Hertha scored just after we went 2 up, we held our nerves

Very true.We were very compact even when the game started to get stretched and opened up.We were a very solid unit.Let's see what next week-end will bring.A point at least I hope

When Hertha scored the 2-1; I was really nervous that they would score another goal (like the 3-3 in Bochum).
But we still had our chances for the 3-1 aswell!
Matmour's schwalbe was also hilarious to watch, I hope he won't do that again :D

It was bloody maddening :wut: If he had stayed on his feet there was a scoring chance as he was in on goal. When are players going to realize that most times they give up a good chance just to fall down as if they've been shot when they know the ref will just wave play on.He should have been yellow carded by the ref and fined by the club.He wasn't the only one either, Raffael did it on a couple of occasions. And Brouwers booking was down to cheating.

I know Dante will be back next week, but does anyone know when Logan Bailly will be fit again.Nothing against Heimeroth,he played well last Sunday but Bailly is "different gravy".Also Daems, how far away is he from returning?

There is a fair chance that they are ready for the match against Nuremberg.

Guess what, chaps?ESPN Friday Borussia v Mainz LIVE again! :D I've already had my monies worth.Twice in two weeks more than Setanta in two years and both at the Borussia Park. All for £9 a month. After next weekend it's an international break isn't it?That gives Bailly and Daems an extra week but Dante is back on Friday.Haven't seen anything from Bremen (can never watch when we lose) but just glad that Marko didn't score.
