It's all gone quiet on here!is everybody as suddenly disillusioned as me.Can't understand some of the starting selections. Why is Traore on the bench he is our best attacking option.Stindl is no "sechser" but Dahoud is.He gives us the energy in midfield that Kramer did ,providing support at both boxes.HE NEEDS TO PLAY!Can Nico Schulz play there with Granit.I caught a glimpse of Raffael at the end last night laughing with HSV players! We are bottom of the league with no wins and no points, what does he find so funny?I think Julian Korb is a decent player but I'm not sure about Wendt, even though Hazard?didn't help him out too much defensively.Andre Hahn tried really, really hard but he looked so "rusty".Drmic.although he doesn't get many chances in the game or to play could be the new Luuk de Jong. Can I finish by chucking in a couple of names of players that we should have gone for instead of buying children,Phillip at SC Freiburg,Zambrano at Eintracht (and I don't care if he isn't a Favre type of player he's a beast who will not be pushed around)especially when he wanted away. And,although I understand he wanted to go back to Leverkusen we should have done anything to keep Christoph a Kramer.Favre made him a World Champions for goodness sake and then let's him go back to Bayer!!!Not looking forward to next week at all,Sevilla and then a trip to the dark side with no support.Where is our first win OR point going to come from??Opinions and thought welcome. :schildgeilsterclub:

I'd say it is less desillusion than what we call "Schockstarre" in German, that is, being frozen rigid due to some surprising negative event.

I'd say you are not alone there. But then, Lucien Favre sees the boys in training day in, day out, so I would still hope that he knows something the people outside don't.

Nico Schulz played on the left side (LB to LW) in Berlin and on the left wing in the German U21 NT. Not sure he'd be fitting as B2B player more in the center.

I'm pretty sure that Max Eberl did try everything, but he can't offer indecent transfer fees and/or wages that would destabilize the wage structure and that aren't sustainable in the longterm.

So how would you suggest he could have been kept when his contract lay in Leverkusen and he didn't have a release clause either?

I appreciate your honest answers rwo power.Concerning Kramer,I understand Max Eberl's situation but it burns my arse that we made Kramer a World Champion knowing all along that he would not be staying beyond the two years.Obviously you are correct about Lucien Favre seeing the players everyday so he will know better than I.And,obviously injuries have disrupted everything,Dominguez,Hahn,Johnson, now Herrmann and again Stranzl!Add to that the terrible gelb/rot for Granit at Bremen doesn't help any continuity.I will stick to my earlier statements about Phillip,Zambrano and Mo Dahoud(needs to pass the ball better. But he is only 19)and Raffael. He,for me,is the biggest disappointment.

Indeed. I fear the injury situation (which can't be fixed by the wave of a hand) is one of the major reasons for the current situation. After all, the defense had a different line up for pretty much each of the last matches:

BVB: Jantschke, M.Schulz, A.Christensen, Wendt - Stindl, G.Xhaka
Mainz: Korb, M.Schulz, Jantschke, Wendt - Stindl, G.Xhaka
Werder: Jantschke, Brouwers, M.Schulz, Wendt - Nordtveit, G.Xhaka
HSV: Korb, Stranzl, Brouwers, Wendt - Nordtveit, Jantschke

So expecting a good coordination there would be very optimistic - the boys obviously don't have the blind understanding of the last season of who is where in any situation. IMO this has to be taken ccare of ASAP, and reshuffling the line-up every other game won't help there.

About Maximilian Philipp and Carlos Zambrano I can't really give an informed opinion as I didn't watch them closely enough, I'm afraid.

About Raffael - I have no idea about the reason for his recent form slump.
