Nervy times

Beitrag von oldparish » 28.04.2008 11:24

Didn't see the highlights on D:SF yesterday so I'm no position to judge, but are the promotion nerves starting to kick in with our players?I hope not because we have such a cushion between us and the fourth placed club we could draw our last four games and still go up.I'm sure the players know the remainig fixtures and that apart from tonight's game between Freiburg and Fuerth the three behind us have to play each other. So c'mon boys lets get this finished sooner rather later.

Our run in, apart from the Freiburg game, is quite comfortable in my opinion OP.

When not if mate.

I agree about the "when not if"sentiment Ins.I just wish it was done and dusted so we could relax and watch 1FC K**N trying to scratch together enough points to follow us

How many points do they need yet to be sure of promotion ? Will 4 points be enough ? I hope they wil reach the goal against Wehen because than I will be part of it ! 8)

I may be wrong but if everything goes our way it could be this week-end.Check the remaining fixtures and try and work it out for yourselves. There are quite a few games where the teams around us all have to play each other.Pity that it didn't finish 2-2 last night.Could have eliminated both Fuerth and Freiburg from catching us.But like Ins says it's just a case of when not if.

The 'when' haunts us.

I dont like this stupid calculations, but ill tell you, yes, it could happen this weekend.

1.FC Cologne - 1899 Hoffenheim 1-1
Offenbacher Kickers - Borussia 0-2
1860 Munich - SC Freiburg 1-1
Mainz 05 - FC Kaiserslautern 1-1

Et voilà!

That would work. (sources: grisu (user); Rheinische Post; borussia.de)

never forget we have to win on our own first. thats most important.
And the calculations would still work if Munich or Hoffenheim would win.
Draw or loss for Cologne and Freiburg is important.

I think if we win against Offenbach sunday and then against Wehen-Wiesbaden wednesday we reached it! And at home... that would be really nice :D

Offenbach will be difficult as they are fighting for their zweiteliga lives and they are at home.Wiesbaden will be the easier{ I think} as they have nothing to play for as they cannot go up or down and we are home.As they say in some sports manufacturers adverts,c'mon boys JUST DO IT!
